We went to the DOX Contemporary Art Centre yesterday (after first going on an adventure...aka taking the tram in the wrong direction- still a lot of fun :) ) and it was so cool!!!!! It's been a while since I've been impressed with every piece in a center or show before, but it was great! I saw stuff by Gordon Douglas and David Cerny and learned about the architect Jan Kaplicky. In general, Czech art has a really good sense of humor which I can appreciate a lot.

DOX Center, etc...
Who could be unhappy in this city? I adore it. I really wish I spoke Czech, though. I have had several encounters with adorable older people on the tram who just want to chat away and I can't communicate back with them. One woman was so cute! We were coming back from the grocery so I had a few big bags of food, and she came on the bus and looked about 75 so I gave her my seat and she seemed so happy! Then she started grabbing my bags and I kind of thought she was confused or trying to take my groceries or something haha but she wanted to hold my bags for me in her lap. Everyone is so nice here!
