Classes started!

A few things you must know about Prague if you ever plan to visit:
Lemonade does not mean lemonade...it means sprite.
Always always carry an umbrella. If it is 95 degrees and sunny that probably means it is going to rain.
The only music they play here: Phil Collins, the Beatles, and Michael Jackson. AKA I'm in heaven :)
Potato soup is always a safe bet. I got beef sirloin, cranberries, and whipped cream last time I went out and I'm not sure exactly what I was thinking!

Well, classes started and they are great! One of our group leaders told me we probably wouldn't watch any Jan Svankmajer films in my film class and we've watched like six already! And my film professor is adorable! He has crazy poofy hair and red "granny" glasses and is really bashful and giggles a lot. He let me borrow his Jan Svankmajer book! Today for class we are going to a local movie theater to watch a documentary on North Korea. Should be interesting!

My other professor for Art and Architecture reminds me exactly of a young will ferrell pretending to be Harry Carey. He also has crazy hair and he shakes and stutters a lot but he's a nice guy. I was a little worried that all the architecture stuff wouldn't interest me, but the second day of class, we went to a Damien Hirst show! Not my fav. artist but still- always nice to see. And then we went and sat in a cafe and I had the beeest cake in the world, called Honey Cake. It was delicious. And then we went and looked around some of the old Jewish Quarters in town.

Yesterday we also managed to find the laundry place, which was amazing! It was like an art cafe! They gave us free tea and internet service while we waited for our clothes. Who in the world would ever leave Prague? :)

This weekend should be fun! Turns out Gogol Bordello plays monday and I have class :( But this weekend also happens to be the weekend of the Karlovy Vary Film Festival so I think we are going to go Friday, and then Saturday walk around Prague and take pictures, and sunday I think I am going to check out this contemporary art center I was told about called DOX Centre for Contemp. Arts It looks really cool!
